Heard at Today's Meeting

President Tony called the meeting to order at 7:30.  Jack Heslin led us in prayer, Tony led the Pledge of allegiance, and Ron Laux led us in singing God Bless America."

 

Happy $: Lots of folks were happy.  Jack was happy for his grandson early acceptance into college, Henry was happy his son earned Lance Corporal, Dick S. was happy, as was Warren, Chris and Krista 

 

Announcements: 

 

WELCOME back Chuck and thanks for the nuts.

 

Omega Learning's Blood Drive is March 31 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.  Not to late to sign up and give a pint!

 

June announced the Chester Garden Club's Garden Show is April 15 from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets are only $15.00 (See June for tickets)  

 

This Week's Program: Club Meeting

 

McQuire' Veterans Dinner, March 27, Sibley's is cooking the food (and donating the chicken), only 13 club members have contributed so far (members agreed to contribute $15.00 to offset cost to club), Members are asked to provide a desert or two (deserts can be dropped off at J.T. Morris Funeral Home in Chester prior to 1:00 pm), 

 

Deadline for Warren G. Thompsomn Award was today.  Only one nomination.

 

H.O.G.  Tickets were distributed, Food has been ordered (BBQ, Cole slaw and Beans) Task force appointed to define space participation.  Will report back to club next week.    

 

Website is being visited more than one thinks.  John asked for help.  Krista volunteered to take pictures.

Next week our speaker host will be Chris and the greeter is Kathy.   Be sure to check the website calendar for future events, and the Member area for future speaker and greeter assignments

Visiting Rotarians and Guests: No visiting rotarians, guests John Erbach, Scott Loshkreff, Tara Nelson, Paula Capell and  Mechele Halder (? she wrote down her email and i didn't get the name, sorry)

 

 

Birthdays and Anniversaries for the Month:

 

Raffle: Henry Moncur won the small pot worth $ 20.00 and drew the  three of diamonds. The large pot is now worth $350              .  

 

 

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...
