Heard at Today's Meeting
Pres. Tony was pinch hitting for vacationing Pres Bill and he called the meeting to order at 7:35. Brion led us in prayer, Dave (our permanent greeter) led the Pledge of allegiance, and also led us in song since he drew the winning ticket last week.
Happy $
Everyone was happy to see the return of Chuck to our fold - some even paid a $ for it. Chuck, Jack, and Krista were also happy.
Announcements
Bud has begun the HOG planning and Larry distributed tickets. After next week's meeting we will have a Marketing meeting and try to fine tune our publicity and make this year's HOG bigger and better than ever.
Krista announced that the BOD meeting will be April 7 (First Monday) at Iron Bridge Sports Center.
This Week's Program
Today's speaker was a last minute replacement, but had a dynamite (or I should say nuclear) message that held everyone's attention. Linas Kojelis served in the Reagan administration and is envolved with Homeland Security. A Petersburg resident interested in historic preservation sees Petersburg as on the cusp of great growth. His talk on the dismantling of the former USSR's 20,000 nuclear missiles was very enlightning and scary. With interested so high, he promised to return another time and give us more information.
Upcoming Programs
Next week our speaker host will be June Garrett . Be sure to check the website calendar for future events, and the Member area for future speaker and greeter assignments
50 / 50 winner
Brion sold himself the winning ticket - and the pot grows bigger ($800+)
Also check the district website at www.rotary7600.org and look on the calendar.
Visiting Rotarians and Guests
Birthdays and Anniversaries
As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...
Is it the TRUTH...
Is it FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...
Will it BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....
Will it be BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
