Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Bill called the meeting to order at 7:30. Larry led us in prayer, Pres. Bill led the Pledge of allegiance and also led us in song "My Country 'Tis Of Thee"

 

Happy $

John was happy the Hokies Food Bank raised a lot of funds.

Dave was happy that June bought his breakfast this morning

Darryl was happy about a record 73 lb fish was caught in a tournament that he did not participate in.

Larry was happy about Valentines Day dance - we all need to tell spouses we love them.

Pete took possession of piglet to take to Mississippi.

Jack met with an old Vietnam War buddy for lunch.

June happy that Forrest was not injured when he had a wreck last week and totaled his car.

 

Announcements

Chuck & Larry - Bowling Tournament Sat. - Rotarians need to be there at 12:30 (BowlAmerica) - Bowling starts at 1:45. Bring door prizes.

Directory update being circulated - make sure your info is correct. While you are at it go to the website directory and make sure your profile there is up to date.

Sam - Foundation donations with about 2/3rd of members reporting is at $3475. Our goal is 100% participation at $100 each, but each member should give what they can.

Ron - Fool for Art program at John Tyler will be April 19. We need to do better with backlog of people waiting for food - more cooking space, etc.

Dick - Plans for Veterens Lunch program at McGuire VAMC progressing for April 25.

Business meeting: Reports from committees will be posted in Members Area of website

Angelo reports that our account balance is $15,120. with 6 months to go in RY

Membership drive in progress. Ron has a database for mailing invitations. Notices planned for local newspaper.
