Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Bill called the meeting to order at 7:30.Brion led us in prayer, Ernie led the Pledge of allegiance, Tony and  led us in song "God Bless America". Today's meeting was a business meeting so there was no speaker. Monday night's BOD meeting was reviewed.

Our MOS, Sam, told us why all dirt roads lead to VT.

Happy $

Scott was happy to make up in Idaho last week and to get a call from Jay to tell him there was a meeting.

Pres. Bill was happy to announce that next week's speaker, John Bernier, would be making some startling predictions for 2008.

Warren was happy for bothe the Cavs and the Hokies, and he noticed the Cav fans were remarkably quiet.

Jay was happy to report that he had a few cans of peanuts in his trunk

Announcements

Warren reported on the success of the MMFF and presented to Angelo a check for $8800+.This is our biggest and easiest fundraiser and we need to put in a little more effort next year to make it great.

Larry was promoting the Bowling Tournament in Feb. and urged people to get their teams submitted early.

Angelo talked about distribution of funds.

Jack reported that we would NOT be eligible for a grant for Shelterbox this year either, but the paperwork was done to submit 2 boxes - 1 from TD for AMA, and 1 from the Club for general disaster releif.

Sam issued a reminder to get Foundation donations in as Nov is done and we still need a few to make 100% participation. Sam also circulated list for Saturday's Bell Ringing at Ucrops and urged members to get their Salvation Army Stockings in by Dec 10.

Upcoming Programs

Next week our speaker host will be Pres. Bill and his speaker is John Bernier  . Be sure to check the website calendar for future speaker hosts

Jeff Peters won the pot this week, but the big fish escaped again, and the prize grows - approaching the $500 mark. Maybe some lucky Christmas winner next week.

Also check the district website at www.rotary7600.org and look on the calendar.

Visiting Rotarians and Guests

Jay Tesh joined us once again

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
