Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Bill called the meeting to order at 7:30.

Darryl told us of the great success last weekend of the "Wounded Warrior" fishing tournament. Many members of our club contributed to making it a fantastic experience for the 20 wounded soldiers and also the officers accompanying them. Jay Tesh tried to call a few members to see if we were meeting today - found Scott in Idaho and Chuck in Missippi. Both sent their Thanksgiving regards. Larry made a presentation to the TD ROTC team for funds to help ship Christmas packages to troops in Iraq.

Happy $

Darryl happy about the fishing experience for the wounded soldiers.

Pete happy about the Ramp building last Fri and installation Saturday.

Jay Tesh had a happy $5 because his trunk is loaded with Thanksgiving peanuts.

Kriata and Pete were also happy to have helped with the fishing

Announcements

BOD meeting Monday 11/26 at Rivers Bend - 6PM for dinner, 6:30 for meeting.

Larry passed out flyers for Bowling Tournament in Feb.

Christmas Party 12/12 - June said those bringing food should consider appetizers.

This Week's Program

Pete Adler replaced his scheduled speaker from Ft. Lee, and talked about two of his favorite subjects - The Championship Golf Team, in case amyone missed previous announcements, and the latest ramp built and installed last weekend. Many people involved and a great article in the Progress-Index was circulated. Rotarians, Officers from Ft Lee, and Church members made it appear easy and Sgt Knight was amazed at how quickly it went. He even helped with the construction. This was our 11th ramp and although all are really appreciated by the recipiants, this one was special because it was for a wounded vet and it gave many people a little satisfaction to give back to someone who gave so much of himself for us.

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
