Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Bill called the meeting to order at 7:30.Larry led us in prayer, Graham led the Pledge of allegiance, Bud and  led us in song.

Happy $

Leanne was happy to attend the district membership seminar Saturday, and also happy to be the chair of our membership committee in spite of being a brand new member.Pete was happy - politacally when he saw a bumper sticker "Vote Democrat - its easier than working". Bud followed the political lead, happy that John R would make a great Fred Thompson impersonator. Ron was UNhappy because he mispelled Tom's name twice in the bulletin.Chuck was happy that Ron brought in a sponsor for MMFF. Pres Bill was happy to be joining the ranks of grandparenthood soon. June was happy that after some early problems of recent premature grandson, the outlook is improved. Ed was happy to be sponsoring a golf tourney on Sept. 11 at Ft. Lee and he would like to have some golfers. Krista is happy that she will be taking a road trip to Las Vegas with her sisters next week - sans husbands. Dick was happy for anniversariy and that his twins turned 27.

Announcements

Chuck announced that time is drawing near for MMFF. He passed out tickets (10 per) and said if you have 1 or 2 left over please return to him.

Dick is still looking for auction items for the Golf Tournament Oct 24-25 at Rivers Bend.

Ron reminded us about the JTCC event - Classic Car Show - on Sept 15. Contact Brion for working assignments.

This Week's Program

Ed introduced our quest speaker, Mr Wade Randolph who talked to us about "How do we save our children?". Wade counsels parents and youth who are "At risk" of becoming out of control and headed for didaster. The bottom line is that parents and grandparents need to be loving, caring, role models and spend more time WITH the kids in positive activities.

Upcoming Programs

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....

...................until next week
