Heard at Today's Meeting
Pres. Bill called the meeting to order at 7:30. Brion led us in prayer, Dave led the Pledge of allegiance, Jay Tesh and led us in song. Jay said he didn't know any of our club songs so Jack helped him with "Home on The Range". Our Man-On-The Street reported on a healthy drink called Rum Runner - 2 parts Jamaican Rum mixed with 6 parts prune juice. Megan Madison reported to us on her trip to Morroco where she experienced a great cultural and educational experience. She also brought each of us a camel.
John Milano was presented a check for Madelines House for $1000.
Happy $
Ron was happy to have TWO applicants to lead a GSE team to the Phillipines from the Chester club - Boo and Warren.

Bits and Pieces
Regardless of where you stand on the issue of the U.S. involvement in Iraq here is a sobering statistic:
There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of over 3,000 deaths.
That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.
As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...
Is it the TRUTH...
Is it FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...
Will it BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....
Will it be BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
