Heard at Today's Meeting
It has been 3 weeks since I last produced a Newsletter, so I will incorporate all in this March Newsletter. The usual suspects have been hard at work and Warren has done a stellar job in running the meetings in an orderly fashion in spite of interruptions and attempts at chaos. After all, we can be a rowdy bunch at times. Our Man on The Street continues to keep smiles on our faces, as he blamed Chuck for this week's contribution of books never written. Oddly enough, I can't remember even one.
Happy $ Dick was happy to have visited Malone Center and presented our contribution along with Chuck and Pres. Warren. Tony was glad to be back from 8 days of par golf in sunny Florida. Jack was happy to get an e-mail from son in Japan announcing the birth of a new grandson. Pete happy that Prince George Rotary is doing an Elder Care Ramp and has asked for our help to build on Friday (3/23). Re-Pete happy to support PGRC. Someone was happy to see pictures of Community HS Interact in the Village News with advisor Dick (he was wearing his Rotary pin.
Announcements On May 4-5 we will build and install another ElderCare Ramp. ARG meeting at James River RC on Thursday evening. Several Chester Rotarians are planning to be there. Practice run of BOD meeting was held on Monday. The REAL meeting will be next Monday (3/26) at Shoney's - dinner at 6, meeting starts at 6:30. Next week we will induct new members.
Programs
This Week's -
Jack introduced Bob Simco, VP & Plant Manager (Retired) of Chaparral Steel. Bob spoke on today's steel industry. Big Steel is being replaced by "Mini Mills" which are smaller, usually non-union and produce steel from scrap instead of ore. China is now the world's largest steel producer.
Last Week's Detective John Church of the Chesterfield County Police Dept. talks to us about Identity Theft. There are many scams and other ways that people can steal your identity and your money. Everyone should own a shredder and be careful about how you use credit cards.

Jewel Hairston talks to us about conflict resolution and bullying in Chesterfield County

Is it FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...
Will it BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....
Will it be BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
