Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Warren called the meeting to order at 7:30. Brion Led the Pledge of allegiance, Scott led the prayer, and Tom led us in song - "God Bless America". Ttoday's meeting was a "business meeting" so no guest speaker. A BOD meeting followed the regular meeting, and we still adjourned by 8:45.

Happy $

Many $ of happiness were contributed including Bill being happy for the Dictionary Project, and he read some of the "Thank You" letters. They will be posted on the website soon.

Announcements

Chuck made a last call for coats & other clothing for the homeless. Delivery was going to JTCC today for further transfer to the shelter.

Scott also made a last call to anyone wanting an Entertainment Book for $25. All leftover books will be returned this weekend.

Bowling Tournament is Feb. 3. Fee is $100 per 5-man team for 3 games. Recruit teams, sponsors, and solicit door prizes, too.

Chester Rotary Christmas Party at the Garrett's on Monday, December 11 - 7PM. Warren has volunteered to help decorate this year. Bring a food dish to share and a $15 gift for the Chinese Auction.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing this Saturday 12/2 at Ukrops. See the schedule on the members area of the website for your 1-hour shift. If your name isn't there, come early and stay late (9-1)

Elder Ramps will be assembled at Chuck's house this Saturday also from 9-1 for next week's Christmas Parade. When you get through "Bell Ringing", come and help with the Float.

The Chester HOG (not to be confused with a PIG) will also be in the Christmas Parade and he thinks he is "Rudonph" leading Santa's sleigh

The Nominating Committee will attempt to have a slate of officers for the 2007-2008 Rotary year ready at next week's meeting. We need to get some committments from the leadership team for next year. Voting will take place at the December 20th meeting.

Ron Laux is coordinating the GSE activities for the Richmond area portion of the visit of the 5-person team from Great Brittain in April/May. Think about taking in one of these young professionals for 3-4 days. Contact Ron if interested.

Upcoming Programs

Next week our speaker host will be Pres. Elect Bill and his speaker will be John Bernier who will tell us what to expect this Winter. Be sure to check the website calendar for future speaker hosts

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
