Heard at Today's Meeting

Pres. Warren called the meeting to order at 7:30. Pete Led the Pledge of allegiance, PP John led the prayer, and Larry led us in song. John R. read some notes of appreciation from the Ecoff school newsletter

Happy $

Pete A wasn't here for the meeting on building wheelchair ramps a couple of weeks ago, so he donated a $ for being appointed chair of this project in absentia. Jack was happy that Gov. Jim had been to Kontum in Vietnam and was familiar with Jack's website www.thebattleofkontum.com

Boo brought to our attention that last year's mistake about the Christmas party was repeated - it's at June and Forest Garrett's house on Dec 11. Dick had a happy $ for the enthusiam of the club and another because he is going to Disneyland. AG Carol was happy to announce that lest week's cancelled ARG meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday Nov. 28 at Rivers Bend - Mexican Buffet at 5:30. Sam had a "Warning" $ - he expects to be given the OK to resume driving next week. He was asked to supply an itinerary so we could alert our loved ones of the roads to avoid.

Announcements

Chuck and Warren will attend a meeting this evening called by the Kiwanis president to share information among service clubs an have a community calendar to avoid conflicting events.

Sam reminded us that Dec 2 will be Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army at Ukrops 9-1. Check the assignment schedule on the website and add your name to the hour you want to work. Also the Christmas Stockings were distributed. Finally a reminder that November is FOUNDATION MONTH and your annual gift is due now.

Sam is also looking into a reading program for us to administer to local schools.

Birthdays and Anniversaries

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
