Heard at Today's Meeting

President Pete called the meeting to order at 7:30. We said a prayer, the pledge of allegiance and sang a song.

Educator:  None.

Announcements: Next week is work camp. If you need to check the schedule for lunch delivery, contact President Pete.

Sept. 13th is Highlands Massey Fund raiser golf tournament. Warren puts in $1000 toward the $1500 fee for a team. Looking for players. Contact Brion.

Board meeting minutes will be available next week. 

 Aug. 4th District Govenor Jayne Sullivan will be here. Please plan to attend.

This Week's Program:  

 Sharon Caldwell from LINC (Legal Information Network for Cancer) spoke about her organization. It is a non-profit that offers help with non-medical assistance for cancer patients and their families. They help people manage work situations and legal issues such as wills, medical directives, foreclosure, and debt settlement. LINC helps with education and ccommunity resources such as finding wigs, food pantries, and transportation. Over 75 clients a month are seen with 30-45 of them being new referrals. Patients do not have to be in active treatment to benefit from LINC's services.
