Heard at Today's Meeting

President Brion called the meeting to order at 7:30. We said a prayer, the pledge of alleigence and sang a song.

 

Happy $: Scott, Sam, Dick, Tara, Pete, Brion

 

Educator:  There are countries that are still affected by polio. For very little cost, we can help pay for vaccinations. The cost of one candy bar can pay for 2 vaccinations.

 

 

Announcements: April is polio is month. The club goal is $1000. Please consider a donation.

 

We have three rotary members "going to jail" to raise money for MD on May 13th. They will need some help being "bailed" out.

 

The Prince George Rotary club is conducting a riverfront cleanup project. Look them up on facebook if you are interested in helping out.

 

Board meeting minutes:

1.It was approved to partner with Trinity United Methodist to send 3 indivduals to Camp Baker to the summer.

2. We will help sponsor a child at Ekoff Elementary to attend a martial arts program after school.

3. We will continue to review bylaws throughout the year.

4. If Wayne Woodcock is able to organize his Stop Hunger Now program to pack up meals, we would like to donate funds and time to help out.

 

Pete proposed we have a Chester Rotary banner made that we could display at our functions. It was unanimously approved. Pictures from our community events are needed. See Pete A. for more info.

 

HOG tickets should be availble next week. Get ready to sell!

 

Fool for Arts: Contact Larry for set up Friday afternoon (4/16). Help is needed on Saturday (4/17) from 9-5. The big push will be from 10-2 when the food will be in high demand. All help is needed. Hot dogs, burgers, chips and drinks will be served.
