Heard at Today's Meeting

President Brion called the meeting to order at 7:30.   Jack led us in prayer. Bill led us in the  Pledge of allegiance. Brion led us in song.

 

Happy $: Henry, Dick, Peg, Chris, Boo, Pete, Brion

 

Educator:  There is much going on in Haiti. The president of International Child Care stated that they have innoculated over 1million people for TB. Many of the organizations members are fellow rotarians.

 

 

Announcements: District Govenor Karlis Graubic is asking for donations in support of his quest to climb Mt.Everest. He has 27 days left to prepare for his journey. Brion will send out information on how to donate to this cause.

 

March 20th is the Founders night dinner at the Highlands Country Club. 6:00 Cocktails and 6:30 dinner. June passed around a sign up sheet. Food choices are pork or chicken. Please let June know if you plan to attend so she can have an accurate count for food.

 

April 17th is the Fool for Arts at the JTCC Midlothian Campus. Larry is organizing for our club. He will need volunteers for set up Friday night, work Saturday and tear down Saturday afternoon.

 

 

 

This Week's Program: Peg Adler spoke on her travels to all of the major league baseball fields in the U.S. She had many interesting stories to share. She showed her Cubs banner which is of great value to her. Peg's passion for baseball was evident. She encourages everyone to support baseball and go out and see the Flying Squirrels this summer!

Birthdays and Anniversaries for the Month:  There were no anniversaries for March. We sang to our fellow rotarians who will celebrate thier birthdays this month.

 

Raffle:  Brion  won the small pot. 

 

As Always, we close the meeting with the 4-way test....Of the things we think, say, and do...
