Announcements:

Aug. 2 is next board meeting at 6:45. It will be held at Dick Jacobs business and is BYOB. All are encouraged to attend as the budget and committees for the year will be discussed.

July 25 at 7:30 AM will be the first Midlothian Food Festival meeting at Panera.

Chillin at Ironbridge concert series will begin July 28 from 6:00-9:00 at Ironbridge Sports Park. This series of events is for the benefit of our club. It will run from July through September on Thursday evenings. Tickets are $10 for adults, kids 10 and under are free. Tickets include a meal and a free activity at the park. Purchase of a $2 cup gets refills for $1 each. There will be a different band every week. Club members should see Chris or Warren to sign up for one of these Thursdays to man a table. Our goal is public awareness of our club, bring in new members as well as raising money. We will receive about half of the ticket sale money. Talk to Chris, Warren or Tara if you'd like to sponsor the event or have a vendor table one night.

This Week's Program:

Todd Parnell from the Richmond Flying Squirrels talked about the progress of the ball club over the last year. They had the highest attendance in the league last season. The weather is not cooperating this year, but things are still going well. He reinforced the idea that it should be a family event and that he's enjoying being a part of our community.

Sheriff Dennis Proffitt talked about his idea of Rotary Clubs and members as being "fixers" of the community. We all know that there are problems with security, youth and finance; which is nothing new. Rotary is way to help correct the problems and get the country moving in the right direction.

Upcoming Programs:

Be sure to check the website calendar for future events and the Member area for future speaker and greeter assignments.

Is it the  TRUTH...

Is it  FAIR TO ALL CONCERNED...

Will it   BUILD GOOD WILL AND BETTER FRIENDSHIP....

Will it be  BENEFICIAL TO ALL CONCERNED....
